About Skip Licenses

Skips allow people to dispose of waste responsibly, and at the same time, keep their residence clean.They can be placed on one’s property, such as in their garden or on their drive, or on the side of the road if needs be. However, when a skip is placed on a road, the person reponsible for hiring the skip is also responsible for applying for a permit. The Skip Company are here to assist with arranging for a permit and advising on what extra equipment will be needed – such as road cones or lights. These measures must be abided by, by law and are all in the interest of safety. If the correct measures aren’t implemented, the person reponsible for hiring the skip could be fined up to £1,000.
