Operated by PlasRecycle and costing \u00a310.7 million pounds, the facility will open towards the end of 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The plant is designed specifically to deal with awkward plastic items such as carrier bags and certain types of wrapping material. The idea is that recycling such material will cut down on carbon emissions, as well as save space in landfill.
